About C2R
Greg Lucas has had horses his entire
life and has ridden many different breeds. He has been successful
in the speed and action division and offers clinics and lessons. Greg started working as a farrier
in 1993 as an apprentice with the local farrier, learning both trims and
shoeing. Greg offers a balanced trim specialized
to your horses' needs along with shoes if required including specialized
shoes. All at
reasonable rates. From draft horses to ponies, Greg has trimmed
most breeds, even mules. He has insight in corrective shoeing and
trimming. Greg believes in keeping foals trimmed regularly to
help keep its bones growing correctly along with regular trims for
mature horses to prevent leg and lameness issues.
Rachel Brady grew up with horses and
as an adult raised and showed Morgans and Arabians. She has been
training and offering lessons for the past 10 years. As a
successful equitation rider, she offers lessons in Western and English,
including Western Pleasure, Saddle seat, Hunt seat, and some Dressage.
She places emphasis on balance, both with rider and horse, with a lesson
plan that begins with ground control and builds up to saddle work.
In addition, Rachel
and Greg offer horse
training services and have started many young horses and some not so
young. Methods include theories derived from Natural Horsemanship
greats like Pat Parelli, Clinton Anderson, John Lyons and Monte Roberts.
C2R's training regime begins with conditioning and goes through ground
manners, self-carriage and finally saddle work to develop lightness and
remove any resistance.

With Greg and Rachel, you get over 40
years of combined experience helping you with your horse. It was the
idea of a second chance at life that spurred these two into creating
Chance 2 Ranch. With many meanings behind the name, they all
add up to living life to the fullest and enjoying what you are doing.
