We have a pack of Beagles that we use for hunting. For many years, we have gone to field-trials with our Beagles to test their hunting abilities. We have several NKC Little Pack and Progressive Pack champions and a couple that are champions in both formats. We started to dabble in AKC field trials but never really got serious about it. Greg is a Master of Hounds, multiple format field judge and bench judge and has started many many hunting litters in the field.
We would love to eventually have a conformation/field dual champion but those are very hard to come by. We genetically health test our field dogs and they live a great life in 5 x 10 chain-link kennels with an insulated dog house, rubber mats on the ground. We feed optimal nutrition, provide excellent health care including proper worming and an advanced vaccination protocol.
We have slowed down breeding field dogs, however, from time to time, we have a litter to keep our pack going. We are planning to breed Frosty to Bull in 2026 for some 15″ hard hitting upper medium speed rabbit dogs.
